Mr. Boyer started his musical journey in St. Louis, Missouri
where he began playing double bass in the 4th grade orchestra.
Mr. Boyer went on to play bass throughout middle school and high school
and was a member of many different ensembles in the St. Louis area. This included
ensembles associated with school such as honor orchestras, the All-Suburban
Orchestra, and the Missouri All-State Orchestra. In his high school years, Mr. Boyer
was a member of the Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Saint Louis
Philharmonic Orchestra. Following graduation, Mr. Boyer attended the College-
Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati. There, he earned
undergraduate degrees in Double Bass Performance and Music Education.
After his time at CCM, Mr. Boyer moved to the Chicago area and taught 4th and
5th grade orchestra for a couple years before joining the D23 family in fall 2016.
In his free time, Mr. Boyer enjoys camping and hiking with his wife,
practicing double bass, and playing Xbox.
